Inside a carefully selected wooden box sits a detailed 3D recreation of your chosen terrain mountains, ridges and valleys shaped from real elevation data and transformed into a physical landscape.

A LANDSCAPE INSIDE A BOX

The Wooden Box takes the ALTIREYA concept in a different direction.

Instead of displaying the terrain openly like the Classic or presenting it as wall art like the Framed edition, the landscape becomes part of an object you can close, protect and rediscover. The natural character of the wood contrasts with the precise, digitally created terrain inside, bringing together two completely different materials.

CREATED FROM REAL TERRAIN

Every ALTIREYA Wooden Box starts with a real location.

Using digital elevation data, the selected area is transformed into a three-dimensional model that recreates the characteristic peaks, ridgelines, valleys and elevation changes of the original landscape.

The terrain is then adapted specifically to the dimensions of the selected wooden box and prepared for 3D printing.

ADD YOUR OWN ROUTE

For an even more personal result, your own route can also be incorporated into selected designs.

Simply provide a GPX file — a GPS file containing the recorded path of your hike, run, cycling trip or other adventure.

Your route can then become part of the landscape, connecting the physical terrain directly to the journey you experienced there.

Instead of seeing your adventure as a line on a digital map, you can see where it happened across the mountains themselves.

SIZE & AVAILABILITY

Unlike our Classic and Framed products, the ALTIREYA Wooden Box is available only in selected sizes.

Because the terrain must be individually adapted to the internal dimensions and depth of each box, not every size can be produced automatically.

If you are interested in a particular size, please contact us before ordering and let us know the dimensions you would prefer. We will confirm whether a suitable box and terrain configuration can be created.

For reference, the Wooden Box shown in the product photos measures approximately:

10 × 10 × 6 cm

This compact format gives the terrain enough depth to create a pronounced three-dimensional landscape while keeping the entire piece small enough to hold comfortably in your hands.

The final 3D terrain dimensions are adapted individually to the selected box. Depending on the shape and proportions of your chosen landscape, the exact scale and positioning of the terrain may vary.

The compact dimensions do not mean the landscape has to feel flat.

Each terrain is prepared specifically for its box so that the available space and depth can be used effectively. Elevation, scale and positioning are adjusted to preserve the recognizable characteristics of the landscape while creating a visually balanced physical model.

Every terrain is then produced layer by layer using 3D printing.

The subtle layer lines visible across the mountains become part of the design, creating patterns reminiscent of the contour lines found on a traditional topographic map.

The Wooden Box combines two sides of ALTIREYA.

The wood brings warmth, natural variation and texture.

The 3D terrain brings precision, technology and geographical detail.

Because natural wood varies in grain, tone and pattern, individual boxes may differ slightly from one another. Likewise, every 3D terrain is created specifically for its location.

These differences are not something we try to eliminate.

They are part of what makes each piece unique.

2. Choose your box size
Let us know the dimensions you would prefer. Because available sizes are limited, we will confirm whether your requested format can be produced.

3. Send your route — optional
Provide your GPX file if you would like your personal hiking, running or cycling route incorporated into the terrain.

4. From coordinates to contours
Your chosen location is transformed using real geographical and elevation data.

5. Designed to fit
The terrain is individually scaled and prepared to fit the selected wooden box.

6. Layer by layer
Your landscape is 3D printed and carefully assembled with the box.

7. Open your ALTIREYA
A place that once existed on a map, in your photographs and in your memories now has a physical form.
